UNIFORM PIECES
Centenary Park Cemetery
The client was after 50 medium size scarves dyed with the flowers from the rose gardens around the park. Using the botanical dye process the roses were deadheaded by the gardeners and picked up by us and transported to our studio. Here they were steamed into scarves over a 10 day period. Once pressed they were delivered to the client. We offer tailormade pricing systems for such orders depending on the quantity and time.

EVENT TEXTILES
Table linens/cottons
The client ordered a specific muted pink tone that we made using avocado seeds. The fabric was a Khadi cotton from India that had been handwoven. The client gifted the textiles as scarves to family after the event.

A RE-WEAR PROJECT: WEDDING DRESS
Oarma X Hunter Made
"Wear your wedding dress again and again"
In loving exploration of the principles of circularity that the brand was founded on, Melbourne bridalwear designer Oarma announces a collaboration with natural textile artist Hunter Made. Brides will be able to have their wedding dress botanically dyed and shortened, so it can be worn again. In a nod to sentimentality and the no waste ethos of both studios, the flowers from a bride’s bouquet can be used in the dyeing process. Through their collaboration, both creators hope to offer brides a perspective steeped in their love of nature that is a departure from the traditional experience of wedding planning.
